One more vid from last night to show the crazy goings-on. People were driving slowly through the crowd, honking and grinning and people were slapping their cars. Couples were kissing, friends were sharing champagne, everyone was hollering, people got up on this obamavan and danced, music played, fireworks were set off. And all through this, I didn’t see a single cop! It was amazing.

What really struck me when I got home was wondering what it would be like (probably for ME more than for those people) if we REALLY won change. Not to downplay the importance of an African American as president - or for that matter a smart, charming, young man as president. But it made me wonder. Were people dancing in the streets after the working class revolution in Russia in 1917? Before it all came tumbling down. What would THAT celebration be like?
